We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and increase manufacturing efficiency. The role focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing layouts, tooling, and process controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet product specifications and production targets.
Create and optimize manufacturing layouts and workflow to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and maximize space utilization.
Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to support new product introductions and process transfers.
Perform time studies, capacity planning, and process capability analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for production staff.
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to reduce waste and lower costs.
Support procurement and supplier development for manufacturing tooling and equipment specifications.
Utilize CAD models and drawings to create manufacturing documentation and validate manufacturability.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, scrap, lead time, and OEE to management. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing engineering role preferred.
Proficiency with CAD software for tooling and fixture design (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and production layout principles.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience with process documentation, SOP creation, and training production personnel.
Preferred:
experience as an Industrial Engineer or in industrial engineering principles, and familiarity with manufacturing equipment and shop floor operations. Benefits Available on your first day full medical, dental, vision, short term disability and long term disability.
