Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing & Planning Engineer (I or II) to join its Engineering Department in Ventura, CA. Below is a list of key responsibilities for this position: Maintenance of the ERP database Generate detailed routers and product structures (BOM) for part numbers and associated costs Review customer drawings and mark-up for production Create new drawings based on shop floor requirements Preparing cost and assisting in lead-time estimates Support efficient methods for estimating product costs Production support on the manufacturing floor Collaborate with the floor and safety teams to ensure facility tooling is optimized for lean manufacturing Develop shop floor documentation and resolve production line challenges Collaborate with EH&S teams to ensure the process and equipment meet environmental, safety, and industry regulations Design tooling using CAD and other software Create/review production documentations (routers, pick lists, weld logs, work instructions) Conduct time studies for accurate costing Identify and resolve shop floor issues regarding process and tooling Other projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred. Familiarity with software programs, including, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and all Microsoft Applications. Must be able to interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Must have a valid driver's license, a U.S. Passport, and be willing to travel occasionally. This is a regular, non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $32.00 to$42.00 depending on experience. All applicants must be able to work in the USA without company sponsorship.
