Technology Designer/Engineer (Low Voltage Communications, Security, and A/V Systems)

Role Overview:

The Technology Designer/Engineer leads the design and delivery of low‑voltage communications, security, and audio‑visual systems across a wide range of vertical and horizontal projects, including airports, healthcare facilities, transportation hubs, K-12 and higher education campuses, and sports facilities and parks. This position is fully on‑site at the DTC location and blends hands‑on technical design work with client-facing project management. You'll own projects from concept through construction administration, collaborate with architects and engineers, and ensure all designs meet industry standards, codes, and client expectations. Core Responsibilities Low‑voltage system design for telecom, security, and AV systems Create detailed drawings, models, and specifications (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam) Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines Prepare Division 27 and 28 specifications Conduct code and standards research (ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEC) Support construction administration and QA/QC Participate in client meetings and internal project reviews Provide guidance on internal processes and standards Required Skills 5+ years designing low‑voltage telecom/security/AV systems Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit Strong understanding of

ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEC

Familiarity with industry equipment manufacturers Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong communication and prioritization skills Preferred Skills RCDD certification Government project experience Network systems experience

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
