full-time Manufacturing Engineer (Fortune 500 Manufacturing) CapstoneONE Search | Winchester, CT We are representing a globally recognized Fortune 500 manufacturing organization actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with CNC machining experience. Position Overview Develops and optimizes CNC machining processes for new and existing production programs Programs, edits, and troubleshoots CNC equipment to resolve part quality and cycle time issues Selects tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters to improve process reliability and yield Conducts time studies to establish standard work and validate performance against cost targets Applies statistical process control and capability analysis to drive consistent, high-yield production Supports new product introduction, including process planning, tooling, and work instructions Analyzes production data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions Leads root cause investigations for scrap, rework, and machine downtime issues Partners with Quality and Operations to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield Champions cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor Provides hands-on technical support to machine operators and production teams Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with CNC machining processes Working knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup/troubleshooting Solid foundation in root cause analysis and structured problem solving Comfortable with Microsoft Office; CAD/CAM experience preferred Familiarity with statistical process analysis tools preferred Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods a plus
