Manufacturing Process Engineer / Manufacturing Project Coordinator Position Overview We are a growing aerospace manufacturing company dedicated to precision, quality, and innovation. We manufacture complex machined components, composite components, and the tooling required to support aerospace production programs. We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for managing manufacturing jobs from planning through completion, developing and improving manufacturing processes, coordinating production activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both on the shop floor and in the office, collaborating with engineering, production, quality, and management to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Project Execution Manage manufacturing jobs from release through completion. Coordinate project schedules, priorities, resources, and deliverables. Monitor job progress and proactively identify and resolve production constraints. Serve as a key liaison between engineering, production, quality, and management. Support production planning activities to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery. Process Development & Improvement Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and workflows. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance. Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Manufacturing Documentation Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Ensure manufacturing records and documentation comply with company and customer requirements. Support engineering change implementation and configuration control. Technical & CAD Support Create and revise manufacturing drawings, tooling designs, and production documentation using CAD software. Support quoting activities through manufacturing planning and process evaluation. Assist with tooling development and production readiness activities. Provide technical support for CNC machining, assembly, and manufacturing operations. Quality & Compliance Maintain compliance with aerospace quality standards and internal procedures. Support audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure manufacturing processes are documented and executed consistently. Qualifications Required Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent manufacturing experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and production methods. Experience managing projects, jobs, or manufacturing activities in a production environment. Proficiency with CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Aerospace manufacturing experience. Experience with precision machining, composites, or tooling. Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace documentation requirements. Experience with process improvement initiatives. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience. Skills & Competencies Strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working directly with manufacturing personnel on the shop floor. Ability to create clear and concise manufacturing instructions and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
