ESOP Job Summary:

Seeking a senior-level, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who will focus on manufacturing processes, process development, validation, and continuous improvement in a regulated medical product manufacturing environment. Approximately 80% of the role will be spent on the production floor, working directly with Operations and equipment to troubleshoot problems, improve processes, introduce new equipment, and increase production throughput. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills who can independently identify opportunities and drive solutions through implementation. Prior experience with heat treating, chemical processing/electroplating, and/or automation is highly beneficial.

Must-Have Skills:

Job Duties:

Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support, spending approximately 80% of time on the production floor.

Lead process validation activities, particularly during the initial weeks of the assignment.

Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including heat treat and electropolishing processes.

Support new product development and manufacturing process development.

Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Support new equipment introduction, process development, FAT/SAT, installation, and validation.

Support automation projects and equipment/process improvements.

Develop basic fixtures and tooling using CAD as needed.

Work closely with Operations and other engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing issues.

Identify opportunities for improvement and independently drive projects from concept through implementation.

Qualifications:
