6-12 month contract M-F Onsite Job Overview We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process improvement, validation, tooling, and production engineering activities. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong experience in foundry processes, process validation, GD&T, CMM/gaging, and materials engineering. The successful candidate will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor troubleshooting processes, analyzing data, supporting validation activities, and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities Support and improve manufacturing processes, with a focus on foundry and metal manufacturing operations. Develop, execute, and document process validations and analyze validation results. Perform hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and gages. Apply GD&T principles to manufacturing and inspection processes. Work with CMM equipment, gaging, measurement systems, and inspection methods to ensure product and process requirements are met. Perform statistical and data analysis to evaluate process capability, variation, and validation results. Use tools such as Minitab to analyze manufacturing and validation data. Support the design and development of fixtures, tooling, and gages. Support wax injection tooling and injection molding processes. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, materials, tooling, and operations teams to identify and resolve production issues. Apply materials engineering principles to manufacturing processes and product requirements. Use CAD tools to support manufacturing, tooling, fixture, and process engineering activities. Maintain engineering documentation and support change management through applicable systems. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency. Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action activities. Work directly with production personnel and manufacturing leadership to implement practical process improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 3-10 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and production environments. Experience with process validation is required. Experience with GD&T, CMM, and gaging is required. Experience with foundry/manufacturing processes. Experience with data analysis associated with process validation. Experience applying materials engineering principles in a manufacturing environment. Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and work directly with production teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Minitab and statistical analysis. Experience with CAD, preferably NX. Experience with Windchill or another PLM system. Experience with fixture and gage design. Experience with wax injection tooling. Experience with injection molding. Experience with foundry tooling and processes. Experience with manufacturing process development, optimization, and continuous improvement.
