Job Description

About the Role As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving production efficiency by operating and setting up advanced lathe equipment. Your technical expertise in programming and precision measurement will directly impact the quality and consistency of our high-precision metal components. Responsibilities Execute complex machining operations on CNC lathes using Fanuc-based controls to meet rigorous production targets. Manage the full setup process, including tooling installation and machine calibration, to ensure seamless production runs. Translate technical blueprints and engineering drawings into actionable machining strategies. Optimize production workflows by developing and refining CNC G-code and M-code programs. Verify component integrity through rigorous quality inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, and advanced metrology equipment. Proactively maintain equipment health through routine troubleshooting and mechanical adjustments. Uphold a culture of safety and operational excellence by maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace. Qualifications Required Skills Demonstrated proficiency in operating and setting up CNC lathe machinery. Strong command of G-code, M-code, and modern CAM programming software. Expertise in interpreting GD&T and complex mechanical blueprints. Solid understanding of manual metrology tools and precision measurement techniques. Ability to perform complex calculations regarding tolerances and machine offsets. Preferred Skills Prior experience within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement. Exposure to secondary processes such as welding, assembly, or injection molding. Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for advanced quality assurance.
