A major global aerospace manufacturer is looking for an experienced metallurgy/materials leader to take technical responsibility across three advanced manufacturing facilities. This is an opportunity for someone who has built their career around metallurgy, materials and advanced manufacturing and is ready to have an impact beyond a single plant or technical function. You will lead metallurgy, laboratory and engineering activities across facilities in Worcester, MA, Brighton, MI and Princeton, KY, working with highly engineered materials and processes supporting critical aerospace and turbine applications. Alongside the technical leadership responsibilities, you will help maintain technical standards, procedures, audit readiness and continuous improvement within an

environment. Why this role is different You won't simply be responsible for solving technical problems within one facility. You'll be helping set the technical direction across three operations. You'll work with advanced materials including nickel-based superalloys and titanium and processes including powder metallurgy, vacuum-melt atomization, billet processing and isothermal forging. You'll also have a seat at the table when it comes to new products, new equipment, customer requirements, quality and manufacturing improvements.

compliance and audit readiness New product introduction Process development Equipment qualification Customer satisfaction Technical standards across multiple facilities What you'll be doing Lead metallurgy, laboratory and engineering functions across three facilities Provide technical direction on complex metallurgy and materials issues Act as a senior technical contact for customers, audits and regulatory organisations Support

requirements and continuous improvement activities Drive process improvements and reduce variation, scrap and non-conformances Lead new product introduction alongside engineering and quality Support new business opportunities, quotations and technical timelines Lead qualification and implementation of new equipment and processes Develop consistent technical procedures and standards across facilities Work closely with operations, quality, engineering, sales and senior leadership Drive technical change and continuous improvement across multiple sites Travel between facilities approximately 25% of the time What we're looking for You are likely to be an experienced Metallurgy or Materials professional who has progressed into technical leadership. You'll ideally have: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Materials Engineering or related discipline Master's degree in Materials Science is highly preferred 10-15+ years of relevant experience Strong powder metallurgy experience Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience with nickel-based superalloys strongly preferred Titanium and/or forging experience is advantageous Leadership experience within metallurgy, materials, laboratory or engineering Experience working within ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems Experience with audits, procedures, corrective actions and continuous improvement Strong manufacturing process improvement experience Experience with NPI, equipment qualification or process development Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and operational teams We would be interested in speaking with people currently working as Metallurgy Managers, Materials Managers, Principal Metallurgists, Senior Metallurgists, Materials Engineering Managers, Technical Directors or similar.
