Job Description

Energetics Manufacturing Engineer

ERG is seeking an Energetics Manufacturing Engineer to support energetics manufacturing operations and engineering activities. We are looking for a motivated engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven background in manufacturing environments. This is a fulltime position at the Naval Support Facility (NSF) Indian Head. Indian Head, MD, is approximately 30 miles from Washington, DC, 25 miles from Alexandria, VA, and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, VA. Support the development, evaluation, and improvement of energetics manufacturing processes and production operationsAnalyze energetics manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, safety, and throughputTroubleshoot production issues related to equipment, materials, processes, and manufacturing operationsDevelop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, process documentation, specifications, and engineering documentationSupport process development, testing, validation, and implementation of manufacturing improvementsReview production data and process performance to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address production delays, material or part quality issues, equipment breakdowns, and other manufacturing challengesEnsure manufacturing processes and documentation align with applicable engineering, quality, safety, and customer requirementsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering support to manufacturing operationsPrepare technical reports, presentations, and other engineering deliverables

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering disciplineAt least 2 years of professional engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environmentExperience working in a DoD, Navy, explosives, energetics, chemical processing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment is preferredExperience supporting, developing, improving, or troubleshooting manufacturing processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, process documentation, and technical dataStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, production, and technical personnelMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearanceMust be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access AuthorizationsERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an
