The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC field service experience and FANUC knowledge . A traditional machine tool OEM/distributor Field Service Engineer is the cleanest profile, but I wouldn't automatically eliminate someone with substantial hands-on CNC machine repair experience simply because they haven't held the exact FSE title. Technical Experience to Target CNC / Controls CNC milling and turning machines FANUC knowledge is specifically requested CNC controls and electro-mechanical assemblies CNC programming/G-code is a plus Ladder diagram troubleshooting Electrical and wiring schematics Multimeters, ohmmeters and phase checkers Mechanical Automatic tool changers Pallet systems Spindles Turret mechanisms Ball screws Axis support bearings Machine alignments Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Mechanical drawings and prints Precision machine repair Field Service Advanced troubleshooting Installations and commissioning Preventative and corrective maintenance Root-cause diagnosis Independent field work Customer communication and training Comfortable traveling throughout the territory
