Are you someone who enjoys turning engineering concepts into real-world products and wants hands-on experience bringing new designs to life in a manufacturing environment? Do you thrive working directly with the people who build products while collaborating with the teams that design them to solve problems and improve processes? If so, this opportunity may be a great fit for you. As a PD&L Engineering Intern, you'll support Steelcase's Product Development and Launch team, helping bring new products from design into production while gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, product development, and product launches.

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

Supporting the development, qualification, and launch of new products and manufacturing processes.



Creating work instructions and training operators on new products and processes.



Collaborating with engineers, designers, operators, and manufacturing teams to support product launches and process improvements.



Participating in design reviews and providing manufacturing input to support successful implementation.



Utilizing engineering tools, CAD software, measurement systems, and quality data to improve manufacturing performance. Minimum Qualifications Reliable vehicle transportation is requiredPursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.



Demonstrating the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.



Demonstrating strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Work Authorization Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Steelcase will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role. Desired Skills and Experience Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.



Demonstrating hands-on engineering experience through internships, projects, clubs, competitions, fabrication, or prototyping activities.



Utilizing CAD software, SAP, or other engineering tools.



Communicating effectively with cross-functional partners and working in a manufacturing environment.
