You will leverage your expertise in CAD/CAM software and multi-axis machining to optimize workflows, develop robust tooling solutions, and ensure the highest standards of manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities Architect and refine CAD models and production fixtures to maximize manufacturing efficiency and part quality. Develop high-performance CAM programs for multi-axis CNC equipment to streamline production cycles. Design custom tooling and molds that directly improve throughput and reduce operational downtime. Analyze part designs for manufacturability, providing actionable feedback to engineering teams to improve design outcomes. Resolve complex technical challenges on the shop floor, including programming errors and machine setup issues. Maintain comprehensive documentation for engineering changes and CNC program libraries to ensure process consistency. Apply GD&T standards and advanced inspection techniques to verify that all components meet rigorous quality benchmarks. Provide technical mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development. Required Skills 5+ years of professional experience in CAD/CAM programming within a precision manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency in CNC programming, G-code, and M-code for multi-axis machining. Proven ability to design and implement custom tooling, fixtures, and production aids. Strong background in blueprint interpretation, GD&T application, and precision metrology. Expertise in troubleshooting complex mechanical and programming issues in a production setting. Preferred Skills Direct experience with thermoforming or plastic fabrication processes. Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software such as SolidWorks or CAMWorks. Experience operating and programming 5-axis CNC routers or mills. Prior experience in a technical leadership or training capacity. Familiarity with Fagor or similar high-end CNC control systems.
