- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role is pivotal in driving our company's success by improving manufacturing processes and implementing lean manufacturing strategies. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, able to identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions, and will be well-versed in SolidWorks. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to continuous improvement. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing productivity and reducing costs through their engineering expertise.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes, focusing on enhancing productivity and efficiency. 2. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to reduce waste and increase operational efficiency. 3. Utilize SolidWorks to design and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment. 4. Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and devise strategies to overcome them. 5. Collaborate with design engineers to improve product design for easy manufacturability. 6. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing issues and ensure the implementation of corrective actions. 7. Train and guide team members on new processes and equipment. 8. Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments. 9. Use Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and cost reductions. 10. Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. 3. Solid understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. 4. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software. 5. Exceptional knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and process improvement. 6. Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to tackling challenges. 7. Excellent communication and leadership skills. 8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 9. Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead projects to successful completion. 10. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
