About the Role As a Manufacturing Launch Engineer, you will serve as the critical link between research and development and full-scale production. You will drive the successful implementation of new technologies, ensuring that processes are optimized for maximum yield and efficiency before they reach the factory floor. Responsibilities Lead the seamless transition of innovative processes from R&D environments into high-volume manufacturing workflows. Author and refine technical documentation to ensure consistent process execution across all production lines. Execute process optimization initiatives to achieve productivity benchmarks and enhance overall product quality. Coordinate the rollout of new manufacturing capabilities, including necessary hardware, software, and recipe adjustments. Leverage advanced data analytics to drive evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement. Champion a culture of operational excellence by spearheading projects that reduce costs and improve manufacturing stability. Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and environmental management systems, including
ISO14001
compliance. Collaborate with international teams to master new manufacturing methodologies and facilitate knowledge transfer. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 2-5 years of professional experience in a process or manufacturing engineering capacity. Demonstrated expertise in optical fiber manufacturing, specifically within deposition, overclad, or fiber draw processes. Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as Minitab and application of DMAIC or CI methodologies. Ability to travel internationally to support site-to-site process integration and training. Preferred Skills Fluency in French to facilitate cross-site collaboration. Proven track record as a subject matter expert in complex manufacturing process areas. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
