Job Summary VX Aerospace Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Engineer to join our UAV manufacturing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to contribute to the design, development, testing, and production of advanced unmanned aerial systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to support the development and production of Group 2 and Group 3 composite UAV platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the design, development, and manufacturing of UAV systems and components.
Assist in creating and maintaining engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Participate in tooling development, prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
Prepare engineering reports and recommendations.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality, reliability, and production efficiency.
Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of Manufacturing and design processes
Assist with configuration management and documentation control processes.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Support flight test preparations, data collection, and post-flight analysis when required.
Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and project progress. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
A willingness to get dirty doing hands-on training in a composite manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
Basic knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar tools.
Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to aerospace, robotics, UAVs, manufacturing, or autonomous systems.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Key Competencies
