Bridge Design Engineer Full-Time Strongsville, Ohio (Greater Cleveland area) Our Strongsville office is seeking a Bridge Design Engineer to work on transportation projects focused on bridges and related structures. Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university Two or more years working under an experienced Bridge Design Engineer (PE) Professional Engineer or Engineering Intern license in the State of Ohio Experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience using bridge and structures design software Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of office products Preferred qualifications Self-motivated and able to take initiative to complete tasks and meet project goals Able to collaborate effectively with a team of professionals Prepared to provide structures support for transportation improvement projects Experience with bridge types including steel beams and girders, precast or prestressed concrete beams, concrete slabs and boxes, and prefabricated culvert shapes Responsibilities Participate as a team member in the design of bridge improvement projects across Ohio Create preliminary design and CAD files, quantities, specifications, and estimated construction costs Apply critical thinking when developing, assessing, selecting, and adjusting established engineering methods and procedures Communicate with clients and subconsultants regarding active design work Periodically observe field construction and respond to requests for information during construction Salary is negotiated based on experience, capabilities, and relevant project work.
