•Pacific Cast Technologies, a PCC Structurals company, is seeking a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support our advanced metal casting operations. In this role, you will design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems for furnaces, heat-treat, and critical manufacturing equipment. You will ensure high reliability, safety, and process stability, drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement, support capital projects, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to meet demanding aerospace and industrial quality standards. Responsibilities Design, program, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for furnaces and critical manufacturing equipment Specify, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level) Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for controls-related equipment downtime and quality issues Collaborate with maintenance and operations to improve equipment reliability and process stability Support capital projects, from requirements and design through commissioning and handoff Develop and maintain controls documentation, including P&IDs, logic diagrams, and standards Implement safety interlocks and ensure compliance with electrical and safety codes Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, quality, and energy efficiency Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians on controls systems Participate in on-call or off-shift support for critical production systems as needed Required Skills Industrial control systems PLC programming
