About the Role As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will drive the evolution of our production systems by designing, refining, and scaling high-performance manufacturing workflows. You will serve as a technical catalyst, transforming raw data into actionable improvements that enhance product quality and operational efficiency within our fiber optic production lines. Responsibilities Architect and implement robust manufacturing processes to elevate production output and consistency. Utilize data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and execute corrective actions that optimize throughput. Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs and standardized work instructions. Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve product defects and uphold rigorous quality standards. Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new technologies and equipment upgrades into existing workflows. Perform deep-dive root cause analysis to deliver permanent technical solutions for production challenges. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, including internships or co-ops. Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, and project management methodologies. Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Preferred Skills Direct experience within the telecommunications or fiber optic cable manufacturing industry. Technical expertise in extrusion processes, polymer handling, and die design. Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems. Proven track record in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and continuous improvement projects.
