Manufacturing Process Engineer
Job Description
Manufacturing Process Engineer The Manufacturing Process Engineer supports polyester and vinyl ester resin and gelcoat manufacturing operations by assisting with process improvements, employee training, safety initiatives, and production support activities. This role works closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to help ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and maintaining production procedures, work instructions, and process documentation. Support process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. Assist with training and development programs for hourly production employees. Provide day-to-day technical support to production and other plant departments. Help coordinate and communicate engineering and process changes to production personnel. Participate in troubleshooting production and process-related issues and implementing corrective actions. Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation. Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvement activities. Monitor process performance and collect operational data to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support plant goals and continuous improvement efforts. Provide occasional supervisory support and operational coverage on weekends and night shifts as needed. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline is required. Internship, co-op, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with an
ISO 9001
quality system also favored. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support continuous improvement efforts. What We Offer Competitive Pay
