Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our customers aerospace production operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will partner closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve manufacturing performance, resolve production issues, and ensure compliance with applicable aerospace quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and provide daily reporting on the production Line of Balance (LOB) to the Value Stream Manager.

Lead Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives focused on eliminating waste, reducing scrap, improving efficiency, and lowering manufacturing costs.

Ensure production processes comply with applicable aerospace standards, including AS9100 and FAA requirements.

Partner with Quality Assurance to support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.

Coordinate liaison engineering activities and support the disposition of non-conforming products or configurations.

Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.

Partner with engineering and production teams to implement drawing updates, design changes, and product improvements.

Generate engineering end items and documentation required to support production.

Review and approve engineering drawings for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) as part of the drawing release process.

Skills and Requirements Experience:

0-2 years of experience in industrial or mechanical engineering, or a minimum of 3years of experience in a production supervisory role.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a minimum of 3 years of professional productionsupervisory experience.

Industry Preference:

Candidates with direct experience in the aircraft interior industry will beprioritized. Not required.

US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Documentation:

Experience generating detailed work instructions, routers, and standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) for the production and assembly of complex aircraft interior components andsecondary support structures.

ERP Systems:

Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Composites Structures:

Knowledge and experience with glass/epoxy honeycomb compositepanel assemblies.

Deliverables:

Ability to generate engineering end items such as drawings, change orders, drawingredlines, and non-routine reports.

CAD/CAM:

Knowledge and experience with CAD design and CAM programming software such asAutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
