THE POSITION
Sr.
Manufacturing Engineer, AUMOVIO Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, New Braunfels, TX:
Develop new operation specific processes providing all necessary documentation such as FMEAs, control plans, and qualification plans. Work with equipment suppliers to support manufacturing quality and cycle time improvement goals. Plan, coordinate and achieve successful launches of assigned products into manufacturing. Work with equipment suppliers on new designs and equipment qualifications. Identify critical process parameters and assist in improving the capability of the process to assure adherence to these requirements. Training:
Influence maintenance and reliability strategy. Diagnose process problems and implement corrective actions to improve yields and reduce costs and meet schedules. Assume manufacturing process ownership for existing and new products. Organize, monitor and report results of Design Validation, Process Validation, and Pilot Builds. Develop and maintain process procedures. Initiate and lead manufacturing continuous improvement activities to meet and exceed specific measurable goals for department safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction and up time. Initiate, develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products. Support team by managing one of these requirements as assigned by manager: budget, change management tracking/meeting or scrap issues/meetings. Support capital equipment selection, qualification, and commissioning with BA. Drive automation strategy and evaluate new technologies. Represent ME function in leadership and cross-functional. Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month. Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field and 2 years of related manufacturing engineering work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: High volume 24/7 manufacturing environment; Problem solving and root cause corrective action experience in a manufacturing facility using tools including fishbone, 5 why, 8D and A3; Beckhoff PLC Troubleshooting; Project management experience in projects involving process improvement, OEE, FPY, and Scrap reduction related to production process equipment; Electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting with schematics; and Writing machine specifications, performing machine acceptance/qualifications, and buyoffs. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: PLC programming and troubleshooting; Minitab; Cognex scanners and vision systems; Solidworks ; and New product setup. Domestic travel up to 10% and international travel up to 10% is required . Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required .
