The Workforce Trainer will be responsible for tasks and activities related to course/workshop instruction for Advanced Manufacturing programs, with a specific emphasis on foundational manufacturing skills.

These skills may include:

standard manufacturing practices (GD&T, FOD control, reading and verifying blue prints/plans, quality control, and safety); a wide range of hand tools and pneumatic tools; electrical or mechanical assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training content and lab activities through in-person and/or on-line modalities, maintaining appropriate course material inventory, maintaining safe and clean labs, lesson planning, tracking student progress and maintaining records, clear communication, and maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom environment.

Maintain effective classroom and lab learning environments Develop and deliver coursework related to advanced manufacturing skills Work closely with industry partners to ensure course materials are aligned with industry needs Maintain student records and submit grades Knowledge Skills & Abilities Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Understanding of adult pedagogy Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Understanding of the safety requirements needed to work in the advanced manufacturing field Deep understanding of at least one advanced manufacturing method: Soldering, Automation, Robotics, Machining, Coatings, Electronics, Mechanical Assembly, Cabling/Wire Harnesses, CAD/CAM 3+ years of related industry experience or 3+ years of teaching experience in a related subjectAssociates degree or technical certificate in a related field
