Director of Technical Services Summary:

Responsible for utilizing technical and manufacturing skills to plan, develop, implement, and support improved manufacturing methods, processes, and training in a production-based environment utilizing available and future resources by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Interacts and communicates effectively with three primary customer teams; production, production support, and upper management to meet customer quality, delivery, cost, and capacity expectations in three primary functional areas: a. Daily technical support and training b. Validated and prioritized project activities c. Future process improvement activities 2. Actively maintains and applies a master-level understanding of all technical information relevant to department performance and execution.

a. Equipment and Software operation & maintenance b. Equipment and Software process capabilities & limitations 3. Works with relevant Team Leaders to: a. Establish, improve, and ensure adherence to effective production process controls b. Maintain proactive technical training for relevant team members c. Maximize Equipment and Software uptime 4. Ensures that equipment and software systems are improved/updated rapidly by proactively maintaining relevant relationships and awareness of O.E.M. developments and industry process improvements 5. Formulates and manages the development and implementation of project based goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems pertaining to department performance and customer prioritized projects.

Education/Experience:

) from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:

• Five years of experience in a manufacturing/process engineering related role within a job shop, contract manufacturing, or original equipment manufacturing (OEM) facility
• Training and/or experience in one or more continuous improvement methods such as Lean, 5

S, Six-Sigma, TQM, TPS, and TOC Physical Demands:
