Associate CAD Design Engineer (Wauwatosa, WI) | 08/31/26

Job Description Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Design, validate, and release Motorcycle/Powersports, subsystems/components from concept to production.
• Create CAD models, assemblies, drawings, packaging layouts, and release data using Creo and PLM (Windchill) systems.
• Define component requirements and ensure alignment with performance, durability, manufacturability, quality, cost, and compliance targets.
• Perform GD&T, tolerance, fitment, clearance, and assembly feasibility reviews.
• Support DFMEA, DVP&R, validation testing, prototype builds, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure production readiness.

Preferred Skills

Project Delivery:

Plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects with a balance of project management and design ownership.

Design & CAD:

Develop mechanical designs, large assemblies, production drawings, complex surfaces, robust B-side features, and 3D CAD models.

Tools & Processes:

Use CAD/PLM tools including Creo, Windchill, FEA, GD&T, DFM/DFA, ECNs, authorizations, and engineering change processes.

Engineering Knowledge:

Apply knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, welding, castings, forgings and bolted joint calculations.

Testing & Launch:

Support virtual validation (CAE), testing, data acquisition, requirement verification, supplier activities, PPAP, and production launch.

Vehicle Domain:

Bring experience in motorcycle, powersports, automotive, transportation, agriculture, chassis, body and integration design.

Collaboration:

Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, teamwork, and global collaboration skills.

Motorcycle Interest:

Motorcycle riding experience, interest, or willingness to learn.
