Applicants MUST have at least three to five years of hands-on bottling-line experience. Experience in a winery, beverage, food, or similar manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Identify and troubleshoot equipment, packaging, sensor, and production issues within the scope of training and authorization. Assist Maintenance with equipment adjustments, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis. Verify that glass, labels, closures, cases, and other dry goods match product specifications. Perform and document quality checks, including fill levels, closure application and torque, head pressure, label placement, lot and date codes, case configuration, and packaging integrity. Stop the line when necessary to prevent continued production of unsafe, defective, or out-of-specification products. Complete production logs, quality records, downtime reports, and material-usage documentation accurately. Track and reconcile dry-good usage, returns, waste, and scrap after each production run. Operate a forklift to stage packaging materials and move or stack finished-product pallets. Train and support Bottling Operator I and II employees in equipment operation, sanitation, changeovers, quality requirements, and safe work practices. Help coordinate operators, workflow, breaks, lunches, startups, shutdowns, and changeovers when the Bottling Line Lead is unavailable. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least three to five years of hands-on bottling-line experience. Demonstrated ability to independently operate, set up, change over, sanitize, adjust, and troubleshoot bottling or packaging equipment. Strong understanding of production processes, sanitation requirements, packaging materials, and product specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills. Forklift experience; must hold current certification or be able to obtain Company certification during the designated introductory period. Ability to read production documents, follow written procedures, perform basic calculations, and accurately complete required records in English. Strong communication, teamwork, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and maintain close attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Experience Bottling-line experience in a winery or beverage-production facility. Experience operating wine-bottling equipment, including fillers, corkers, cappers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers. Experience training employees or providing work direction in a production environment. Experience assisting with preventive maintenance, equipment adjustments, or minor mechanical repairs. Schedule Requirements This is a full-time position requiring schedule flexibility based on production needs. Candidates must be available to work: Shifts of 10 hours or more when required.
