$20.50 + $1.50 shift premium and $1.00 attendance bonus
Job Summary:
The Bolt Forming Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used to form and manufacture bolts and fasteners. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate bolt-forming machinery to produce fasteners according to specifications. Load and feed raw materials into machines. Monitor machines during production and make basic adjustments as needed. Inspect finished bolts and fasteners for quality, size, and proper formation. Use measuring tools and gauges to verify products meet specifications. Identify defective or improperly formed parts and remove them from production. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines. Complete required production and quality paperwork. Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance as directed. Communicate any machine issues or quality concerns to the supervisor. Meet production and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred but not required. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail. Reliable attendance and dependable transportation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience with fasteners, cold forming, presses, or similar manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for handling materials and finished products. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Must be able to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
