Job Description
2nd shift hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday; some mandatory OT Essential Functions 1. Overall operation of the system that control rod production from the casting furnace to the straightener 2. Initiate start-up of cast rod and complete proper documentation 3. Continually monitors supporting systems to the rod line - water cooling system 4. Make adjustments to the program and line based on router instructions 5. Continually monitor controls and line to ensure quality rod is made efficiently 6. Make adjustments to desired speed of line and water flow for color, if instructed on router 7. Perform other department classification duties as needed. Qualifications and Experience 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Able to calculate simple mathematical equations 3. Familiarity with computers 4. Prior experience working with PLC controller is a plus Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
