Job Description
About the Role As a Manufacturing Line Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining high-efficiency production standards while ensuring a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for managing equipment operations, performing quality inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate production machinery and equipment according to standardized procedures to ensure high-quality output and customer satisfaction. Execute routine quality control inspections, identifying and troubleshooting issues to maintain product integrity. Manage raw material supply to production lines to prevent downtime and maintain steady throughput. Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to transport materials safely and efficiently across the facility. Drive process optimization by participating in or leading Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects. Uphold 5S workplace organization standards, ensuring tools are properly maintained and the workspace remains clean and orderly. Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize disruptions and support long-term machine health. Assist in efficient job changeovers to ensure seamless transitions between different production runs. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or GED equivalent. 3-5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or factory environment. Proven ability to operate industrial machinery and forklifts safely. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting production line concerns. Preferred Skills Prior experience with 5S methodology or Lean manufacturing principles. Demonstrated history of participating in process improvement or Kaizen activities. Mechanical aptitude for performing minor equipment adjustments and maintenance.
