Henderson, KY Job Details Full-time $20 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Forklift High school diploma or GED Manufacturing standard operating procedures Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description The Manufacturing Technician - Bagger is responsible for operating and maintaining industrial bagging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role includes staging materials, operating bagging systems, verifying product quality, completing required documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The technician plays a key role in ensuring accurate packaging, inventory control, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Essential Job Duties Safely operate and monitor bagging equipment in compliance with established procedures and work instructions. Set up and prepare bagging lines, including staging materials, labels, and packaging supplies. Ensure correct product, bag type, and label are used for each production run. Operate scales and bagging systems to ensure accurate weights and proper filling of materials. Inspect finished bagged products to ensure they meet quality and labeling standards. Perform weight verification checks at designated intervals and document results accurately. Complete all required production documentation, including mass balance sheets, logs, and labeling records. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, including OSHA and EHS requirements. Identify and report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or quality concerns to leadership. Assist with troubleshooting bagging equipment and support maintenance as needed. Follow proper startup, operation, shutdown, and clean out procedures for bagging equipment. Maintain dust mitigation practices and ensure proper use of dust collection systems. Keep work areas, equipment, and warehouse spaces clean, organized, and free of debris (5S standards). Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials and finished goods. Load and unload trucks as needed in a safe and efficient manner. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth production flow. Assist in training new employees on bagging procedures and safety practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment or bagging experience. Experience with inventory control systems preferred Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures is required. Professional Skills Ability to operate and understand bagging equipment, scales, and labeling systems. Understanding production documentation and data entry requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to safety and a strong safety record. Must be able to operate forklifts and obtain certification if required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking. Prolonged exposure to loud noises. Capability to bend, reach, and climb ladders, and work in elevated positions when needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to traverse property and facility. Dexterity in hands and feet to operate forklift controls with precision. Required to wear PPE in the plant and complete safety training.
