Position responsibilities follow current GMP and good documentation practices while carrying out a variety of functions related to Upstream (fermentation) and Downstream (formulation) bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role ensures accurate execution of workflows, proper documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Duties and Responsibilities Support in vaccine production processes, including fermentation, formulation, filling, shipping, & labeling Operation of manufacturing equipment including bulk tanks, centrifuges, autoclaves, and pumps Operation of calibrated measurement equipment, including scales, thermometers, and pipettes Provide daily care for laboratory mice, including feeding, watering, cage cleaning, & monitoring Decontamination & cleaning of manufacturing, lab, research, & warehouse spaces per protocol Decontamination and cleaning of manufacturing equipment before and after use Assist in the procurement, packaging, and shipping of customer orders Daily monitoring of environmental control equipment, cold rooms, refrigerators, and incubators Completion of daily log charts, production records, and other standard operating procedures Contribute to process monitoring and equipment troubleshooting, as needed Assist with the inventory control program, preparation of end-of-month, and supply lists. Maintain PPE levels at various production access locations Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and other storage locations Participate in safety inspections, and continuous improvement projects Reporting of abnormalities and deviations in a timely manner Follow Quality Management System Procedures Complete all required annual and quarterly individual/group training.
Education and Experience:
Associates or B. S. degree in related scientific field. Biology, Chemistry, etc. or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience. 2+ years of experience in bioprocessing and aseptic manufacturing, preferably in a pharmaceutical or GMP environment. Familiarity with laboratory equipment, aseptic techniques, and SOPs. Ability to follow manufacturing outlines, strong written and verbal skills, and computer proficiency. (PC & Mac.) Required knowledge, skills, & abilities: Ability to follow/comply with manufacturing outlines of production, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company/Corporate/Regulatory Policies. Laboratory Inventory supply management and production forecasting experience preferred Animal House procedures experience preferred Pipette and Assay Testing experience preferred Demonstrate ability to work effectively with team members and show initiative to support and/or train other employees Work independently on routine tasks with effective time management to meet deadlines Occasional heavy lifting or moving required Min. 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods Manual dexterity for small-volume pipetting and fine laboratory work. Strong written and verbal skills Proficient computer-based system skills including PC and Mac Work schedules are an 8-5pm structure Salary Commensurate with
