Are you an experienced composite professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Composite Technician to support one of the most respected names in the aviation industry. In this role, youll help manufacture, assemble, repair, and refine critical aircraft components that contribute directly to the safety, performance, and innovation of modern aerospace technology.

What Youll Do

As a Composite Technician, youll play a vital role in the fabrication, assembly, bonding, and repair of aerospace components while ensuring every product meets strict engineering and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond metal, composite, and laminate parts, assemblies, skins, and equipment

Interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, work orders, charts, and technical documentation

Determine bonding requirements, including temperature and pressure specifications

Cut composite and metal materials to precise dimensions

Operate autoclaves, ovens, hydraulic presses, hot bond equipment, and other manufacturing tools

Sand, burr, smooth, finish, and prepare composite surfaces

Apply sealing and potting resins to exposed or cut edges

Perform composite manufacturing, complex rework, and repair activities as required

Utilize both optical and hard lay-up tools during fabrication processes

Verify completed work meets engineering specifications and process requirements

Use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics to ensure accuracy

Monitor quality standards and support inspection activities in accordance with controlled procedures

Maintain equipment certifications and perform routine minor machine maintenance

Prepare tools, details, and assemblies using approved solvents and cleaning solutions

Safely move products within the manufacturing area and support production flow

Cross-train and assist team members to support operational excellence

Participate in training programs and work toward MVP qualification

Perform additional duties as assigned, with training and certification provided when necessary

Required Qualifications

Experience working with composite materials and composite manufacturing processes

Hands-on experience with:

Sanding and burring

Composite bonding techniques

Autoclave operations

Sealing and potting resin applications

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and work instructions

Experience using precision measuring tools and manufacturing equipment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace composite manufacturing experience

Composite rework and repair experience

Composite and fiberglass repair expertise

Previous autobody repair experience

Fiberglass boat manufacturing or repair background

Experience operating hot bond machines

Familiarity with aviation or aerospace quality systems

Pay Details:

$36.23 per hour
