Position Summary:

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our precision manufacturing startup. This is a broad, hands-on position supporting CNC machining, inspection, equipment maintenance, material handling, shop organization, and general manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate does not need to be an expert in every area, or any area in particular. We are looking for someone with great attitude, team player, good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to take ownership of tasks. Experience in machining, manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, mechanical repair, or other hands-on technical work is valuable. Responsibilities Depending on experience and shop needs, responsibilities may include: Operate CNC milling and turning machines. Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling. Perform basic machine setups and production changeovers. Inspect manufactured parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T. Deburr, clean, wash, and prepare finished components. Identify and report damaged tooling, machine problems, dimensional issues, or other production concerns. Perform basic preventative maintenance on CNC machines and other shop equipment. Replace coolant, filters, hoses, pumps, and other routine machine components as necessary. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and manufacturing problems. Assemble, disassemble, clean, repair, or rebuild mechanical components and equipment. Prepare raw material for machining using saws and other shop equipment. Move and organize raw material, finished parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Maintain tooling and shop supplies. Package and prepare finished parts for shipment. Receive incoming materials, tooling, and supplies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with shop improvements, machine installations, equipment moves, and general maintenance. Complete inspection records, job travelers, and other basic manufacturing documentation. Follow established procedures and quality requirements. Assist with other shop and manufacturing tasks as required. Relevant Skills and Experience Experience with any combination of the following is beneficial: CNC milling CNC turning CNC machine setup or operation Manual machining Cutting tools and machining processes Precision measurement Micrometers and calipers Indicators and height gauges Blueprint reading

inspection Quality inspection Mechanical assembly Equipment repair Machine maintenance Pneumatics and hydraulics Electrical or industrial troubleshooting Fabrication Welding Automotive or equipment repair Material handling Forklifts, pallet jacks, and shop equipment Hand and power tools Computers and basic manufacturing software CAD/CAM or CNC programming Prior experience with Fanuc, Brother, Matsuura, or similar CNC equipment is a plus but not required. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude. Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and manufacturing equipment. Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions. Good attention to detail. Ability to perform basic shop math and measurements. Ability to work independently and solve problems. Reliable and willing to learn new skills. Able to maintain an organized workspace. Comfortable working in a small-shop environment where responsibilities may vary from day to day. Willing to help wherever needed rather than being limited to one specific job function. Formal machining education is not required if the applicant can demonstrate relevant hands-on ability, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Physical Requirements The position may require standing for extended periods, working around industrial machinery, handling raw materials and finished components, and occasionally lifting or moving moderately heavy items with appropriate assistance or equipment. We value practical ability and attitude as much as a specific job title or background. Candidates with experience in machine shops, manufacturing, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, fabrication, mechanical trades, tool and die work, or similar hands-on fields are encouraged to apply.

Pay:

$18.00 - $35.00 per hour
