The Module Line Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting automated and semi-automated equipment used in battery module manufacturing. The Technician ensures production processes are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards, work instructions, and production requirements. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Module Line Technician will identify process and equipment abnormalities, perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments, document production information, and work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to maintain safe and reliable operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate automated and semi-automated machinery and equipment throughout the battery module production process. Monitor equipment operation, production parameters, and process conditions to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications. Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, changeover, and routine operational checks in accordance with established procedures. Conduct in-process inspections and verify product quality at designated inspection points. Identify equipment, process, material, and quality abnormalities and take appropriate corrective action within established guidelines. Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor maintenance activities within the scope of the position. Escalate equipment or process issues to Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, or Production leadership when additional support is required. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), control plans, quality procedures, and other manufacturing documentation. Accurately record production information, inspection results, downtime, defects, and other required data using applicable systems and documentation. Properly operate and maintain hand tools, fixtures, gauges, test equipment, and other production-related equipment. Support material flow and ensure components and materials are available at the workstation as required. Identify and communicate quality concerns, process abnormalities, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Participate in problem-solving, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and waste-reduction activities. Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other team members to achieve department and company goals. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision or management. Safety and Quality Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, spills, defects, or other concerns to appropriate personnel. Stop or escalate production when a condition may compromise employee safety or product quality. Follow established procedures for handling battery cells, modules, materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain accurate and complete production and quality records. Protect product integrity by following established handling, inspection, and process-control requirements.
Qualifications:
Required Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience may be considered. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, maintenance, automotive, electronics, or similar industrial environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documentation, work instructions, drawings, and standard operating procedures. Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and retrieve production information. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product quality. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability and willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require. Preferred Experience in lithium-ion battery, battery module, automotive, electronics, or advanced manufacturing. Experience working with automated or robotic production equipment. Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, HMI systems, sensors, actuators, and automated manufacturing systems. Experience using hand tools, gauges, measurement equipment, and basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), production tracking systems, or computerized maintenance/quality systems.

Productivity and Work Pace Completes assigned tasks accurately and efficiently at production rates established by supervision. Maintains consistent workflow while prioritizing safety and quality. Minimizes avoidable downtime, rework, material waste, and production interruptions. Equipment and Process Performance Operates equipment according to established procedures and process requirements. Performs required equipment checks and responds appropriately to abnormal conditions. Effectively communicates equipment issues and supports timely resolution. Teamwork and Communication Demonstrates a positive, respectful, and collaborative approach. Communicates effectively with teammates, supervisors, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering. Supports team objectives and contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment. Identifies opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, equipment reliability, and waste reduction. Contributes ideas and feedback that support department and organizational goals.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
