Cargill seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician I to support safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, assist with troubleshooting and repairs, and support equipment installations and upgrades. Working in a fast paced plant, you'll follow strict safety and food-quality standards while documenting work, collaborating with production teams, and contributing ideas to improve reliability and reduce downtime. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment Follow all safety, food safety, and quality procedures, including Lockout/Tagout Use CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance history Inspect equipment to identify wear, failures, and improvement opportunities Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues Assist with root cause analysis and reliability improvements for recurring problems Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Electrical systems (motors, controls) Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Preventive maintenance (PM) Reading mechanical/electrical schematics CMMS or maintenance work order systems Lockout/Tagout and plant safety Welding and basic fabrication Root cause analysis
