Production Assembly Technician

Job Description

Position Overview:
The Production Associate is responsible for crafting and assembling custom orthotics based on detailed specifications and designs. This role involves precision, attention to detail, and proficiency in working with a variety of tools and materials. The Fabricator ensures the final product meets quality standards and is completed within established timelines. Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Fabricate and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications and blueprints. Cut, shape, grind, sand, mold, and finish materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with the Corrector and other team members to resolve production issues. Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment as needed. Document production processes and update records as required. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist in inventory management, including monitoring material levels and reporting shortages. Support other lab functions as needed to ensure production deadlines are met
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, machine operation, construction, maintenance, or another hands-on technical environment preferred. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, specifications, diagrams, or work orders. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to learn new processes and techniques quickly. Basic computer skills for documenting production processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Experience in orthotics, prosthetics, or medical device manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
