Production Technician (Precision Electromechanical Assembler / Electronics Service Technician) Job Description We are a small engineering/manufacturing company in Bellevue, WA looking to hire a skilled and meticulous Production Technician who can manage all phases of the production cycle, including manufacturing and service/repair, as well as perform manual precision assembly and engineering work. This position requires experience with precision mechanical parts (chassis assemblies, motors, relays, semi-rigid coaxial cables) and electronic components in an instrument production, manufacturing, servicing, and engineering environment. On-site at our Bellevue, WA office. Please note we anticipate relocating our office to the Woodinville/Bothell area in early 2027, candidates should factor this into their commute considerations.

• Light mechanical fabrication and assembly of small precision RF components (tubes, springs, connectors, motors, PCB boards, and semi-rigid coaxial cable) in the RF/microwave industry to produce our precision Programmable Delay Line Instruments.
• Use of high-precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering irons, heat guns, semi-rigid coaxial cabling tools, precision saws and wire cutters, crimpers and connectors, and torque wrenches.
• Full manual assembly of instruments involving chassis assembly, soldering, wiring, component assembly, and fine-tune calibration of parts.
• Conduct quality assurance measurements and testing to ensure parts and assemblies perform to production specifications and standards.
• Work independently to complete production and service work orders by following documentation, production drawings, and sample assemblies. Work with electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists, bills of materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, and schematics. Create documentation of manufacturing and service procedures and logs where needed.
• Perform calibration testing and measurements on finished product using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), calibration workstation PC, and Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) instruments.
• Identify and troubleshoot failing components or subsystems for replacement.
• Package completed units into proper packing material for shipping, ensuring correct paperwork is included. Skills & Experience
• 2+ years' technical degree in an electrical technology field (or equivalent college degree/technical proficiency) and 2+ years building, assembling, and testing electronic products.
• Ability to perform fine-pitch SMT soldering (to .0201 size) and to use precision hand tools, basic power tools, and work with semi-rigid coaxial cable.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with an excellent ability to multitask and keep to schedules.
• Strong communication skills, able to follow verbal and written instructions and read technical drawings. Must have excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Technical knowledge of electrical test methodology (e.g., stand-alone bench, automated, functional test), planning, procedures, equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, automated test systems), and result validation criteria (e.g., pass/fail, control limits, tolerances).
• Understanding of manufacturing workflow.
• Previous experience in high-tech manufacturing preferred, with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Self-motivated to learn new technologies. Ability to follow directions, work independently, and drive tasks to completion. Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a workbench.
• Frequent use of fine motor skills and close, detailed hand-eye coordination for precision assembly and soldering work.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., component boxes, packaged units).
• Near vision sufficient for fine-pitch component work, with corrective lenses/magnification as needed.
