Job Description

Position Summary Accurate Fabrication is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Line Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing fabricated metal components while ensuring quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finished products and works effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Load and unload parts onto the paint line according to production schedules. Prepare metal components for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and inspecting surfaces. Operate powder coating and paint application equipment following established procedures. Monitor coating thickness, finish quality, and curing requirements. Perform visual inspections to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Identify and report defects or equipment issues to the Paint Line Lead or Supervisor. Maintain paint equipment, spray guns, booths, ovens, and work areas in clean and safe operating condition. Assist with color changes, material handling, and inventory of paint and coating supplies. Follow work instructions, production travelers, and quality documentation. Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material handling equipment (training provided as required). Work closely with production, quality, and shipping departments to meet customer delivery expectations. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or paint line experience preferred. Powder coating or industrial painting experience is a plus. Ability to read work orders, production documents, and basic measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and a positive attitude. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of powder coating or industrial paint processes. Ability to recognize paint defects and perform corrective actions. Basic mechanical aptitude. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to cross-train in other production areas. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the shift. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to push, pull, and maneuver materials and racks. Ability to wear required PPE including respirators (when required), gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and paint materials. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing facility where employees are exposed to moving machinery, overhead cranes, paint materials, heat from curing ovens, and varying noise levels.
