Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Boat Rigging Technician to join our dynamic marine team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of rigging systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety and quality. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operating smoothly, delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse marine vessels, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to support water transportation operations worldwide. Duties Install, inspect, and repair rigging systems on various marine vessels, ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications and quality work. Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately execute rigging tasks Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot marine electrical systems related to rigging components Use hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to perform repairs and fabrication Assist in the fabrication of custom rigging solutions using sheet metal, water transportation equipment parts, and other materials Document work performed through detailed reports and logs; interpret technical schematics for troubleshooting complex issues Support electrical systems maintenance by diagnosing electrical faults using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining high quality standards Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in marine or vehicle maintenance; experience with rigging is highly preferred Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions related to marine systems Knowledge of vessel electrical systems maintenance, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques Mechanical knowledge including marine engine repair, mechanical systems repair, and water transportation equipment maintenance Experience working with heavy lifting equipment, power tools, welding, soldering, calipers, and other precision instruments Familiarity with marine propulsion systems maintenance and marine electrical troubleshooting processes Ability to interpret technical diagrams and fabricate custom parts using sheet metal or other materials as needed Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safety protocols involving PPE use Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges Join our team as a Boat Rigging Technician if you're passionate about marine technology, eager to apply your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
