Job Description

\n Responsibilities Project Design Review, including specifying requirements & verification of inclusion in design Create sketches & drawings for rectifiers, anodes, test stations, & other features for new & existing facilities Assist with coordination with Major Projects Group as well as internal Department projects Attend project meetings for updates, to provide input, & be available for questions that arise Site visits & verification, including during pre-construction/design, during construction, & final walkdown Perform testing as need for design & verification purposed, including soil potential, soil resistivity, current cathodic protection facilities, close interval surveys, etc. Coordinate with cathodic protection commissioning contractor to answer questions & assist with troubleshooting efforts Analyze data from commissioning contractor for abnormalities & follow up as needed Maintain provided field test equipment, ensuring good operating condition and rendering minor repairs Assist with pipeline commissioning efforts as approved by leader, including moisture & odorant monitoring. Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, perform arithmetic calculations, apply basic math concepts, solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists, and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form 12 Pre-review all deliverables to ensure corrosion processes and principles are applied to Client standards and best practices Qualifications
NACE/AMPP
Cathodic Protection Level 2 (CP2) Certification 2-year Engineering or Technical degree (4+ years preferred) Minimum 3-5 years of cathodic protection field testing & design experience Possess a good understanding of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) and NDE techniques and applications (UT, RT, PT, AUT, PAUT, RTR) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience reviewing and interpreting job/project packages (P&IDs, equipment drawings, engineering drawings, etc.) Experience managing projects & balancing multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to drive, stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, twist, type on a computer, and lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to travel overnight to customer sites during the week, as well as for a few days at a time when needed; travel by automobile Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future \n $45 - $55 an hour Salaries for all positions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, total years of experience in the industry, education, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary depending on the candidate's individual background and expertise. Salaries are subject to fluctuation outside of the given range.
