Target Compensation:
~$80,000 / year (commensurate with experience) About the Role Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer to join our client's Engineering Department in Shelby Township, MI. In this role, you will leverage advanced non-linear analysis software to evaluate product performance, ensure designs meet strict customer specifications, and directly contribute to the product development cycle by proposing innovative design solutions. We are open to candidates ranging from entry-level to experienced FEA Engineers (08 years of experience), with an ideal target of 2 to 3 years of hands-on industry experience.
Key Responsibilities FEA Modeling & Analysis:
Utilize Abaqus and Hypermesh to perform non-linear analysis for rubber products and structural components to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
Product Development Support:
Collaborate with Product Engineers and Managers to evaluate performance, suggest design alternatives, and optimize product functionality.
Technical Presentations & Data:
Create comprehensive technical data sets, predicted rate curves, stress/strain profiles, and durability predictions (using FE Safe for structural components) for internal reviews and customer presentations.
Project & Timeline Management:
Multi-task across several active programs, ensuring clear, concise communication and on-time delivery of technical deliverables to meet key program milestones.
Customer Interface:
Represent a positive, professional manner during technical meetings and program reviews with external customers as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with evolving automotive industry standards, engineering best practices, and material technologies.
Qualifications & Core Competencies Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Structural, or related discipline).
Experience:
Open to 08 years of FEA experience (23 years of automotive FEA experience strongly preferred).
Software Proficiency:
Advanced capability in Abaqus and Hypermesh . Experience with FE Safe for durability analysis on structural components is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid foundation in engineering mechanics, materials science, mathematics, and non-linear material behavior (particularly elastomeric/rubber materials).
Professional Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting technical findings. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, time-management, and organizational skills.
