Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Textile Engineer to join our vibrant team, driving forward the development and optimization of textile products and manufacturing processes. As a key contributor, you will lead research initiatives, improve manufacturing techniques, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency across our textile operations. Duties Lead research and development projects focused on textile materials, including polymers, fabrics, and composites, utilizing advanced analytical chemistry techniques and materials testing methods. Design, model, and simulate textile products using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other 3D modeling tools to optimize fabric structures and product performance. Oversee material selection and characterization processes to ensure optimal properties for durability, flexibility, and sustainability in textile applications. Develop manufacturing processes including plastics blow molding, injection molding, and fabrication techniques aligned with ASME codes & standards to enhance production efficiency. Conduct statistical analysis for research data collection, quality control assessments, and process improvements to support continuous innovation. Collaborate across cross-functional teams—including chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and quality assurance—to streamline product development from concept through production. Perform material testing in laboratory settings to validate material properties and ensure compliance with industry standards. Utilize engineering data analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, improve process reliability, and implement process engineering best practices. Engage in research & development activities aimed at advancing textiles technology through experimental design and analytical chemistry methods. Maintain thorough documentation of research findings, process modifications, and quality control procedures to support regulatory compliance and product traceability. Experience Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within textiles or related materials industries. Strong background in materials science with expertise in polymers, plastics processing (blow molding & injection molding), and fabrication techniques. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools for 3D modeling related to product design. Hands-on laboratory experience with materials testing, chemical analysis, and materials characterization methods. Demonstrated ability to analyze engineering data statistically for research purposes or process optimization projects. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), ASME codes & standards relevant to manufacturing processes. Knowledge of plastics processing technologies including plastics blow molding and injection molding for product development applications. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with process engineering skills to support fabrication improvements and quality control initiatives. Experience conducting research & development activities that lead to innovative textile solutions or new material applications. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
