As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Ballistics Engineer to join our team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Analyst to contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced solid rocket motors for a variety of missions and applications. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to innovate and optimize solid propulsion technologies.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design and analysis of solid rocket motor components and systems. Collaborate with propulsion, materials, and structural engineers to ensure integrated design solutions. Conduct numerical simulations and analyses to optimize motor performance, including thrust, burn rate, and pressure profiles. Perform laboratory and ground-based testing of solid rocket motor prototypes. Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing techniques for motor production. Contribute to the development of testing procedures and safety protocols. Document design processes, results, and findings for internal and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in solid propulsion technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Strong background in solid rocket motor design, analysis, and testing. Proficiency in engineering software tools for simulation and analysis. Familiarity with propulsion system integration and optimization. Experience with additive manufacturing and advanced materials is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Effective communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical team members. Attention to detail and commitment to safety in all stages of design and testing.
