We engineer change for a more stable and sustainable world.
YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE
We're looking for a Manufacturing Trainer to join our team in West Jordan, Utah — someone who brings real instructional expertise, not just shop floor familiarity. In this role, you'll own the full training lifecycle for our production workforce: assessing skill gaps, designing and delivering hands-on training for welders and machine operators, and partnering with instructional designers to build structured process documentation and learning materials that stick. You'll work directly with shop employees to build competency in welding processes (GMAW-P, GTAW, carbon and stainless), machinery operation, and coating, while contributing to SOPs and visual job aids that support long-term workforce development across the facility. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on how our team grows and performs.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN
Evaluate employees and identify weaknesses in production skills. Identify and conduct training tailored to individual skill levels. Work directly with shop employees to build new skills across the manufacturing process, including coating. Present technical data and training requirements through PowerPoint presentations and short videos. Encourage employees toward training and identify potential candidates for progression. Track employee success and progress throughout training. Support the rollout and communication of all training programs on a timely basis. Prepare and deliver manufacturing training sessions, measuring effectiveness based on success rate. Train and help develop employees on the operation of specific machinery. Train employees and maintain records for forklift and crane certifications. Support the FEM/5S program as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
High school diploma. Experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently, efficiently, and be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows/Office Suite, with the ability to build clear training materials and presentations. Working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon, stainless, and alloy metals, plus familiarity with liquid and powder coatings. Familiarity with ASTM specifications, AWWA standards, and
AWS/ASME
welding codes. Strong shop math and blueprint-reading skills, robotic welding/programming experience, and solid problem-solving capabilities.
WHAT WE OFFER
Build A Better Career Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives Career development programs and internal promotion pathways—we build from within Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities Build A Better Future Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plans with company match Life insurance and disability coverage Build A Better You Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and wellness resources Inclusive, team-oriented culture where people look out for one another Build A Better World Join a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.

Victaulic does not provide immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, or other work visa sponsorship) for this position. All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the applicable country on a full-time basis without the need for employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the future.
EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Applicants will receive fair and impartial consideration without regard to race, gender, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic data, or other legally protected status.
