Mechanical Engineer 2
Description:
Mechanical Engineer 2 will be responsible for creating and implementing mechanical mechanisms and include managing projects, interfacing customers, creation of engineering drawings, conducting operational and/or functional performance tests, sustaining engineering, and streamlining the production process. Help develop and refine components utilizing design skills, calculations and finite element analysis or other modeling tools as needed.

MS Office Technical Skills:
- General knowledge of or coursework in manufacturing, design and drawing practices including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

- Proficiency in presentation of technical findings
- Proficiency in clear written communication
- Proficiency with mechanical computer aided design (CAD/parametric, modeling)
- Proficiency in deploying academic study such as thermo-dynamics, stress analysis FEA in a practical expedient way
- Experience in contributing, creating, and/or presenting hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test engineering presentations
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed 3D designs, generate CAD drawings and related documents, and support manufacturing and assembly of components
- Support with the development and refining components and subsystems utilizing skills, hand calculations or other modeling tools

- Document test plans and procedures
- Select or designs appropriate test tools to facilitate testing and simplify manufacturing processes
- Ability to develop complex test protocols and interpret data
- Communicate technical assessments and experimental results to specialist and non-specialist audience
- Interfacing with customers and maintaining a professional dialogue while providing updates and support
- Provide leadership in the development of complex mechanical test protocols
- Research requirements and analyze data such as customer specifications to determine feasibility of design
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of science in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace)
- 3-5 years of applicable professional or educational experience is required
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
