Organic Lighting Systems Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD / Inventor Drafter or Mechanical Engineer to support the design and production of custom architectural lighting fixtures. This position will work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to create manufacturing drawings, develop product designs, and support continuous improvement of our products and processes.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor Develop manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication drawings Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and support production documentation Review customer drawings and specifications Assist with product development and engineering changes Collaborate with production teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues Create exploded views, assembly instructions, and technical documentation Support prototyping, testing, and product improvements Ensure drawings meet company standards and manufacturing requirements

Qualifications Required:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor Ability to create fabrication and assembly drawings Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills

Preferred:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field Experience with sheet metal, extrusion, machining, or fabricated components Experience in lighting, electrical products, or manufacturing environments Knowledge of BOM creation and document control
