The Opportunity This isn't a maintenance role. You'll lead electromechanical design from concept through production on mission-critical hardware that sits at the intersection of physical security, precision engineering, and environmental sustainability. If you want your engineering work to genuinely matter — this is your role. Key Responsibilities

• Own the full design lifecycle for electromechanical systems — from concept and CAD through prototype validation and production release
• Build production-ready SolidWorks models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings
• Run FEA simulations and tolerance analyses; design for reliability and manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
• Partner with electrical engineers to integrate motors, sensors, wiring harnesses, and control systems
• Manage BOMs, ECOs, and PLM workflows to keep programs on schedule and in compliance
• Ensure designs meet ASME, ISO, and customer-specific security standards
• Support prototype build and testing to validate functionality and compliance with specifications

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• 10+ years in electromechanical product design (end-to-end ownership)
• 5+ years of SolidWorks proficiency — 3D modeling, surfacing, assemblies, drawings
• Strong command of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, plastics)
• Experience with PLM systems and formal change control
• Familiarity with electrical system integration (motors, sensors, wiring harnesses)
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

Preferred:

• Background in data destruction equipment, security hardware, or ruggedized industrial devices
• Experience designing for compliance with

DIN 66399, NIST

800-88, or similar standards

• Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
• Master's degree Compensation & Benefits This is a full-time, onsite position.

Compensation includes:

Salary:

$135,000 - $165,000 commensurate with experience
