Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing mechanical systems and components that meet project specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of mechanical product development projects, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, CAD modeling, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including mechanical detail drawings and schematics. Perform tolerance analysis and root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and optimize product performance. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate mechanical designs under various operational conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers—to integrate mechanical components into overall system designs. Manage project schedules, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of engineering products while adhering to industry standards such as ASME codes. Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools and 3D modeling for product development and manufacturing process planning. Support manufacturing activities by providing technical guidance on machine design, CNC machining processes, and mechanical drafting. Apply principles of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precision in mechanical drawings. Engage in engineering product development from concept through prototyping to production release. Use laboratory tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and C programming for system design testing and validation. Facilitate effective communication of schematics, technical documentation, and system design specifications across teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development. Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and other 3D CAD modeling tools. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, tolerance analysis, GD&T standards, and mechanical drafting practices. Experience with FEA software for structural analysis; familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous. Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes including CNC machining and assembly techniques. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), system design, and automation integration is desirable. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex mechanical systems. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or machinery. If you are passionate about advancing innovative mechanical solutions through precise engineering practices and thrive in collaborative environments, we encourage you to apply today. Join us in shaping the future of engineering excellence by delivering impactful products that meet rigorous quality standards.
