Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Responsibilities Collaborate in the development of a preventative maintenance program that enhances plant uptime, enabling downstream operations to more effectively meet customer requirements and mitigate exposure to high-risk hazards. Help develop and install EAF technology that improves safety, plant up time and product variability. Assist with coordinating planned maintenance - down days and outages. Work with operations to improve the steelmaking process by improving yield, increasing production, decreasing costs, and enhancing product quality. Work with IT to develop a maintenance program custom to the mill's requirements. Qualifications Required B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems. Preferred Prior mechanical maintenance experience. Meltshop experience.
