Role:
Serve as the primary technical driver for deploying, commissioning, and stabilizing VulcanForms? industrial hardware infrastructure for the Consumer Technology business. Own equipment selection, initial unboxing, facility integration, and formal installation and operational qualifications. Support a diverse asset base?including industrial post-processing, automation, and metal additive systems?to ensure reliable operation in a 24/7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end deployment, site integration, and qualification?including IQ, OQ, and SAT?of industrial manufacturing equipment
- Support equipment including metal 3D printers, vacuum/atmosphere heat-treatment furnaces, depowdering systems, Wire EDM, build-plate resurfacing/milling machinery, and industrial clean lines
- Lead equipment selection and procurement to meet manufacturing capability and throughput requirements
- Design and integrate machine fixturing and workholding solutions
- Serve as the primary technical contact for equipment manufacturers and OEMs
- Manage delivery timelines, technical installation requirements, and troubleshooting of major hardware anomalies
- Define, monitor, and improve equipment performance metrics, including OEE, uptime, MTBF, and MTTR
- Develop SOPs, preventive-maintenance schedules, and facility integration documentation
- Train production staff to operate equipment safely and effectively
- Collaborate with Facilities, EHS, Quality, and Process Engineering teams
- Integrate equipment safely into factory-floor layouts and enterprise data/SCADA networks
- Provide machine-readiness updates and technical reports to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of progressive engineering experience managing complex equipment deployment, factory automation, or industrial machinery integration in a high-stakes manufacturing environment
- Documented experience executing formal equipment qualification protocols, including
IQ/OQ/PQ
- Experience with mechanical troubleshooting frameworks
- Hands-on familiarity with at least two major industrial equipment categories, such as CNC/EDM machining, vacuum/fluid/pneumatic systems, high-temperature thermal systems, robotic automation, or industrial chemical/clean processing
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and clearly report machine-readiness metrics to leadership
Compensation:
- \$80,000
- \$111,000/year
- Actual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
